ADA Commercial Inc. founded in Liberia by Ambassador Wendell J. E. McIntosh.  He vertically integrated production of rice from seed to the finished agriculture product for the Ecowas and regional markets.

Through a concession agreement with the government of Liberia, ADA Commercial Inc., has secure 60,000 hectors off land, an area large enough to meet local demand and export to regional markers.

ADA Commercial Inc., has an additional 300,000 hectors for agribusiness and related activities.  With an emphasis on Mechanized production on upland and lowland (Swamp) ecologies.  ADA Commercial Inc., machine park with machinery capable of handling every stage of the production process from planting, agrochemical application, and harvest. A turnkey riceprocessing plant to be constructed has been purchase as the crowing jewel.  Years of technical field experience in mechanized rice farming has led to the development of a business model that can have ADA Commercial Inc., break-even and surpass that point within
3-4 years operation even creating sustainable profit capable of further expansion.  ADA Commercial Inc., profiting from peaceful Liberia, that is rapidly moving into greater prosperity through an influx of investment in (oil, gold, natural minerals, palm oil, biomass, iron ore, etc).  With no competition or other investment in commercial rice farming sector ADA Commercial Inc., is set to quickly capture the domestic market and gain access to the regional and international markets.

Mission Statement: To organize, produce, and market rice and other agricultural
commodities to our consumers.

The paramount goal of ADA COMMERCIAL is to transform the Ecowas rice market from being wholly dependent on foreign imports to a fully self-sufficient export market. The specific objectives of ADA COMMERCIAL are as follows:

  • To become the major rice producer and supplier of quality rice to the Mano River Union market
    as well as to the ECOWAS sub-region.
  • To fulfil the agreement between ADA COMMERCIAL and ECOWAS Commission that
    obligates ADA COMMERCIAL to produce rice (called ECORICE) for the ECOWAS
    Member States, replicate its agribusiness model and establish food security banks in
    all the ECOWAS Member States.
  • To market and distribute quality rice produced for other ECOWAS Member States to
    ensure food security.  To improve the livelihoods of subsistence rice farmers within catchment communities
    through an Out-grower scheme. To contribute to the food security goals in Liberia and other ECOWAS Member States.
  • To become the hub of agricultural research and innovation.

ADA COMMERCIAL will drive this transformation through a series of concrete actions to achieve key milestones.

Our Leadership

Wendell Mclntosh.  Due to his patriotic commitment to the growth and development of Liberia and its human resources, several media outlets including the Nation Times and GNN-Liberia has selected Ambassador Wendell Mclntosh, one of Liberia’s most seasoned Diplomats and Ambassador at large. His selection as Diplomat of the year 2014 is based on several uncountable reasons including his astute diplomatic acclamation demonstrated over the year 2014 in review. Ambassador Wendell Mclntosh has proven himself as an outstanding humanitarian who has helped lots of Liberians appreciate and gain their rights outside of Liberia during difficult times. As a diplomat, he sought to promote Liberia’s image as a country and nation coming out of a prolonged civil conflict. He encouraged reunification amongst Liberians in Guinea, especially during the civil crisis were there was food shortages and to encourage his counterparts to promote trade links and rekindles the spirit of the Mano River union (MRU), which bound Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia and La

Cote D’lvoire. Ambassador. Mclntosh has a legacy for his dedicated services to his country and people that is why he used his diplomatic influence to have obtain at least a 30-Million United States dollars Grant from Libya, aimed

at making Liberia food self- sufficient. Paving the way for Africa’s Solution ” One step at Time” 

Yaw B. OSEI-ASARE (PhD) is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and also plays the role of General Manager (GM) of ADA COMMERCIAL. He is responsible for the day to day management of the operations of the company, strategic development of the business of the company, define and coordinate business policies, management of the staff of the organization, planning the operations of the organization, and promoting investment opportunities. As the General Manager, he will also be responsible to develop, recommend, and accomplish the company’s objectives by developing market strategies; leveraging opportunities; employing financial, technological, and human resources. He is an Agricultural Economist by profession and holds a BSc in Agriculture and an MPhil in Agricultural Economics from the University of Ghana, Legon, Ghana. He holds a PhD in Agriculture (Development Economics) from the Centre for Development Research (ZEF), University of Bonn in Germany. He has over 11 years of practical experience in teaching of agricultural economics, agribusiness management, quantitative methods and operations research, project management, and the monitoring and evaluation of agricultural projects, amongst others. As a researcher, he has over 16 publications in academic peered reviewed journals. He also undertakes consulting services for UNDP, AGRA/CARD, and for the FAO. He also holds the foundation certificate for PRINCE2, which is a project management tool.

Mr Troy Kleve is the Processing & Maintenance Manager (PMM) for ADA COMMERCIAL. He is an agricultural engineer by profession and currently an instructor at the Iowa Lakes Community College, he has over 25 years of practical experience in agriculture and agriculture mechanics, setup and repair of all types of farm machinery and equipment (diesel technology), farm drainage and tile installations, grain handling, drying, and storage, electrical trouble shooting and repairs, and welding and metal fabrication skills.

Peter Mudau

Is an Agriculturalist who is patient, punctual and dedicated. He have experience in the agricultural industry and exactly 3 year in the academic system. Mr Peter Mudau have agricultural expertise in soil classification, chemical mapping, precision farming, research designs, technical reports, fertigation programs, soil conditioning, agrochemical sales and marketing, crop protection, and farm management. There arecountries I have served outside South Africa, which include but not limited to; DRC, Liberia, etc.
